check if its not a DVD burner.. like they should open CD's too... but sometimes the bugger up and wont accept them..its coz they are primarily made to burn DVD's not CD's.. if thats not right... just try shutting down the comp and leaving it for 5 mins.. if that doesnt work im not sure.. we get the same problems too but those 2 things usually work.. the security settings shouldnt really effect it..

15 year old cat biting me in my sleep?

Yesterday I was walking to cl as I normaly do every day. I'm kind of quiet and for some reason people seem to think I'm sad or upset any time I space out (I get lost in thought often). Anyway I was walking down the hall alone, there were one or two other people in that hall, but that was it. I don't know a whole lot about her, but from what I've been told and what I've seen her do she is kind of shy and doesn't have many friends. Ive suffered from severe widespread pain since I was oh Id say, 13 and I am fatigued to the point of falling asleep driving, Pain in my chest, and sharp stabbing pains in my head andl lots of other things. Are there any pistols (BB, Airsoft, co2) that shoot at or near 1000 fps. Not rifles, but pistols of any kind. My friend claims he has one. I still haven't seen it, but he said that it looks realistic, shoots at 1000 fps, and it shoots these "mini bullets" or some sort of metal projectile shaped like a bullet. Now I'm not sure how true that is, but he has this whole arsenal of Airsoft guns, so I'm positive that he at least halfway told the truth. Problem with my gf and baby?

My doctor suggested I go to an endocrinologist because I was complaining about bad sleep, low mood, and a severe lack of energy. I feel tired nearly all the time. The endocrinologist said that these are signs of underactive thyroid. He did a test and said that my thyroid hormone level was just on the low end of the normal range. It might be a problem or it might not. He suggested I try a low dose of thyroid hormone pill for 6 weeks. He didn't feel certain that it was a thyroid problem, so I'm a little wary of trying the medication. Most of my symptoms fit hypothyroidism except for one: I have a very low body weight, even though I eat well. hypothyroidism usually causes weight gain, not loss. Is it at all possible that I can have a low body weight, fatigue, and low mood because of an under active thyroid? The conditions seem to clash a bit.

Overclocking the intel?

i want to ask which of two needs cooling system, processor or motherboard's FSB. i have an intel. they say intel processors multiplier is locked and if you overclock it, the fsb is the one increasing speeds not the processor itself. Generally the fsb is located on the motherboard not in the processor. so changing the processors cooling systems is quite useless. but adding cooling systems to motherboard's fsb is somewhat usefull. RIGHT? because the one which is overclocked is the FSB.. thanks...

Okay, every summer I go to my grandparent's house where we stay for (obviously) the whole summer, and then return back to our normal house. I plan to get one guinea pig(the second one will come later when I get enough money). I know it's not good since they're herd animals, but I can't help it. I'm lucky to get ONE. The ride to our summer house is about 1 hour or under. I have to bring my pig. We stay there for 13 weeks, and my cousins come too, so they can't watch it. AND I wouldn't trust them either. Their family got 2 guinea pigs (boy and girl) when their kids were younger, and whaddya know, they had a baby. SO, now they're stuck with 3 piggles, and the littlest child (kyle) decides to put the baby in a empty PRETZEL BARREL -WITH- TENNIS !!! Bottom line, Martin was killed. I'm so saddened by their parent's lack of responsibility. Anyway, that's where the problem is. I know they aren't supposed to travel, but how could I do this? I would pull down the last two seats (it's a row of 3) so that there was one seat for me and a big space for the cage. Should I put a towel over the cage and give my pig treats, or should I put it in a carrier?! Should I even hold it? AHH! This question is REALLY confusing, I'm so sorry. Six months ago I was arrested for a broken tail light on my way home from church and handcuffed behind my back. Although I had never been handcuffed before, the cuffs seemed way too tight. However, the officer would not loosen them. When it was time to get up off the ground the officer jerked me by my right arm causing rotator cuff damage and a torn biceps tendon on that arm. Now, six months later, I'm starting to experience a painful "crik" in my neck when I turn it too quickly and also numbness in the first three fingers of each hand when I keep my arms in the same position for a while - like when I'm pushing my granddaughter's stroller. I'm wondering, because the handcuffs were pushing on the outsides of my wrists while the numbness seems to be on the inside of my wrists / hands / arms. Any ideas as to what can be causing the first three fingers of each hand to keep going numb? This is happening many times a day now. I've seen several doctors but they all seem to be blowing me off.

I tried using a plunger first on both sides of the sink but that didnt work. I then bought some liquid plumber gel and it didnt work either. Nasty boil ahead of Christmas!!!?

I had this boil on my lower lip since the last 5 days. It got real big and my lip has swollen because of it. Today, while asleep, i think it got ruptured cause white puss was showing from it. So i decided to get it out. I drained all the puss and something that appeared to be like a 2mm long thread and blood came out. uming the core to be round and not thread-like, i tried to squeeze hard without any success. I washed the wound with anti-biotics. The swelling has diminished a bit. Is the core still in? Will the stupid boil reappear??? Christmas is only 5 days away... so try this...regular trims are a must, about every 7-9 weeks.(if your hair is really healthy then up the trims to about every 12 weeks, a trim is just a snip off the ends) if its been awhile since you have had a trim then inches may be called for to get to healthy hair. i use vitamin e on fresh washed hair.(its a vitamin that can be purchased where you buy vitamins, cut open capsule, squeeze into hand, rub hands together and apply to hair) dont message into scalp. if you get too much then just rewash it. hair will feel slightly sticky until dry then it will be nice and soft. it tames the frizzies, deep conditions and makes hair grow about three in a month. it takes about a month for the growth part of the e to kick in. the other benefits are instant. dont brush your hair but maybe once a week to message the scalp, i use a wide tooth comb at other times. brushing breaks off hair. i just started biotin vitamins going on four months ago this sat and notice and big growth spurt from that. biotin is cheap and also promotes hair regrowth and growth. i also have the biotin shampoo that i got from a vitamin store online.(puritans pride.com or vitadigest.com) five bucks for a big bottle and a big bottle of E is about 8 bucks. the biotin is about 3 bucks. i now take my fingers and message my scalp about five times a week, along with the brushing thats a good way to do it without damaging your hair. apply two or three capsules of e to dry hair and message into scalp and hair really well, put damp towel in microwave for 1 min to get hot, then quickly wrap head, a dry towel can be placed over that to help hold in the heat, leave on for 15 min, shampoo well, makes an excellent hot oil treatment. good luck, AND some people will argue about regular trims, your hair does grow from the roots, yes, but if your hair is not trimmed at the bottom, the it splits, get dry and brittle not to mention thin looking from no trims at all and frizzy. then your hair starts to break off at the bottom and giving you the appearance that it never grows. so to make hair grow as fast as possible and keep it healthy, then trims are an essential part of hair care. look on a ruler and check out less then half an inch and if your salon does not know what that is then take a ruler with you, i have. as of three weeks ago adding beta carotene vitamins to my regimen. i found out that along with the biotin it is very very good in promoting hair growth. they were five bucks for a bottle of 100. got them at walmart. the biotin and e can also be purchased at walmart, and adding all this up is pretty cheap to get great hair. i just wish the shampoo was available in the stores, but not yet.

Just got my results back, I did honours in psychology and only got a lower second. I of course wasnt accepted for any of the postgraduate programs i had applied for. I did honours and undergrad at a very prestigious university and now I am trying to see if one of the less prestigious ones will want to give me a a chance to do a masters. I had so many expectations, I wanted to do a combined masters/phd in clinical neuropsychology but that is now impossible. Even if i am accepted at one of the other schools and do well in masters, I am not sure i should hold on to my idea of doing a phd as this was a huge blow to my confidence. I guess what i wanted to ask was, if a lower second honours will deter me from doing a phd in teh future provided a do well in masters, should I even try to go for a masters or just get a grip and find a job now doing anything?

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic failure: cause?

I have installed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on my Dell Inspiron 1501 Vista Laptop, however, whenever I run it, it stops working. I have heard a rumor that this is because I have an ATI Radeon xpress that doesn't support OpenGL, which is what SWKoToR is written in, but I have also seen in other websites that Vista fully suports OpenGL. I have updated SWKoToR to version 1.03, which is the last version, so that is ruled out. If someone out there has an answer, please let me know, I REALLY wnat to play Knights of the Old Republic. Do only less-attractive women like 'nice guys'?

It seems to me whenever I hear a women saying she wants a nice guy (and really means it) she's either unattractive, overweight or over the hill. I don't hear a great degree of model-quality women complaining about men not being nice-- they seem to always compain about men being 'too nice' or stalking them or obsessing over them, etc. Has anyone else experienced this? I think that women want what the can't have, and since less-attractive women are more likely do get treated like sh*t by men, then that's why they say it. I received a seat belt ticket even though I was wearing it. What should I do?

Hello, I got pulled over today by a FHP Trooper. The officer pulled me over to my surprise and said to me "I pulled you over today for not wearing your seat belt harness". I reacted in astonishment as if he was talking about my friend I just picked up from the airport. But he ured us that he was talking to me and asked me for my license and registration. I immediately plead my case and told him I did indeed have it on. He walked back to his car and came back 5 minutes later, ticket in hand. He went on to say "now Im giving you this ticket for wearing your seat belt improperly, sign here yada yada yada...". I was dumbfounded, irritated and completely confused as he wouldnt give me a chance to say much and cut me off every chance he got. I couldnt believe I had just gotten a ticket for something I didnt do. As I drove off, I looked at my friend and he was blown away as well. I thought for a second and said to him "wait a second, he said 'you werent wearing your harness' at first and now hes telling me that I was wearing it, but improperly?". Im not a liar, I have paid any and every ticket rightfully so that I have ever gotten. Never received a seat belt violation ever and pissed off to say the least that I now have a $119.00 debt that I shouldnt have! Should I fight it and plead my case? If so, should I bring my friend as a witness? I know there is no way of convincing someone on the internet that you were wearing your seat belt and wearing properly but Im telling the truth.
