I want to start a service that would help others who are unable to, say go to the grocery or pick up meds...?

I have a parent who lives alone. Though she tries to be as independant as she can, there are some things that she needs help with. Needing things from the store or medications that need to be picked up and delivered. This got me to think about maybe doing this sort of thing for a side job. Is this crazy or should I look into something like this ?? Any helpful comments are appreciated. Thank you, Angela
