Can we ALL have a Portuguese Water Dog from a Rescue Shelter as a Stimulus Gift?

Isn't it "Noble" of Michelle Obama to want a Rescue dog for the girls. Since any rescue shelter will have a good supply of Portuguese Water Dogs and their grooming, breeding and demeanor just happen to fit their needs - it's a GO! Only one problem - my wife has wanted one for years but the $2000 or more for a standard bred is way out of our price range. Finding one at a rescue shelter would be like finding a 2010 Indy racer in the second row at a used car dealer - selling for $10. So what do you think of this latest great big lie by the Obama's.
