(Dragon) What makes a storyline a success or failure?

On how well the Fans can get into it, and how well The Wrestlers could play it off, (Example:) As you stated Stonecold/McMahon rivalry see how well the fans connected with it and got into it, because I'm sure anybody that has a disrespectful boss, would love to punch their lights-out and not get fired for it, which is why a lot of people liked that storyline and connected with it, so to make a storyline work it has to be a mix of both sense and performance.
