Is there any specific way of writing answers to ICSE English Literature?

I'm never able to get more than 75%. No matter how much I write it's never "enough". Are there any tips to writing the answers, or any guidelines. I want to score about 90% or so. I know the stories, poetry, and Julius Caesar pretty thoroughly, but I can't seem to write the answers properly in the exams/ mock test....what do I do?
